About Us

Joe Perales, MSN, FNP-BC, is a McAllen, Texas native and a proud alumnus of Nikki Rowe High School. After earning his LVN and ADN-RN degrees from UTPA and STC, Joe spent a decade in long-term care and skilled nursing, holding roles from nurse to director. His passion for patient-centered care led him to complete his BSN at UT-Arlington in 2014 and an MSN from Walden University in 2016, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Joe’s diverse experience includes emergency medicine, rehabilitation, geriatric care, and internal medicine. Today, he practices functional and holistic medicine, treating conditions like diabetes, autoimmune disorders, hormone imbalances, and alopecia, with a focus on restoring health and vitality.

An active member of professional organizations, Joe is part of the Texas Nurse Practitioner Association, Texas Nurses Association, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, among others. He was inducted into the International Nursing Honor Society in 2016 and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice at UT Austin.

When he’s not working, Joe enjoys family time with his wife Nicole, their three children, and their French Bulldogs: Nala, Brody, Cooper, and Cora.
